JOB DESCRIPTION

Grant Reporting Development Project

Department is seeking the services of a Consultant to provide assistance to the Information Technology staff to develop new Grant reports.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (MUST BE EVIDENT ON RESUME--)

1. Three (3) years of current experience, using the following Application Development Tools:
a. Reporting with Cognos BI v8 toolset: Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Metrics Studio.
b. Methods to develop reporting solutions using Key Performance Indicators
c. Web application development using ASP.Net, C#, JSP, J2EE.
d. Creating code for XML/XSL/XSLT
e. Interface development using Web Services
f. Reporting with Cognos Frame Work and Java SDK.

2. Three (3) years of current experience Maintaining metadata and user/role repositories and providing Cognos Security administration
3. Three (3) years of current experience Modifying and Developing Reports for the following Database and Operating Systems:
a. Unix operating system,
b. HP-UX and writing shell scripts using Perl and HP-UX.
c. Oracle Database Management System version 10G.

BACKGROUND
- Department requires on-site programming support for Organizations Accounting and Purchasing System Grant Reports Development Project.
-Grant module exists and reports need to be developed for Department to monitor and track grants.
-Will also need to interface with Organizations Financial system.
TASKS
1. Design, develop and document the applications according to specifications
2. Program modifications to the existing software
3. Troubleshoot, test and debug software
4. Install and configure the new software.
5. Provide complete user training manuals, and technical documentation of the new software
6. Train technical staff on the technical aspects of the new software.
