We have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in our Human Resources Department to provide administrative and project support. Individual judgment is required to deal with situations that may arise and require an effective resolution.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer incoming phone calls to the department, which may require call screening and/or rerouting to the appropriate person(s), or fielding routine inquiries and resolution of problems or issues affecting the department.

Perform a wide range of administrative duties including written departmental correspondence, mail, filing, supply ordering, conference call coordination, document and report distribution and accounts payable.

Create/maintain Excel spreadsheets, memos, charts, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations. Research, generate and assemble pertinent materials for development of reports and presentations.

Maintain multiple calendars and coordinate domestic travel arrangements. Department meeting and event planning. Prepare, submit and process expense reports and invoices. Maintain department files.

At the supervisor's direction, research and prepare presentations and reports relating to departmental projects, activities. Assist with gathering, compiling and maintaining information and materials in support of various store projects.


Education/Experience:

The minimum educational background of an applicant to this position is a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED), and two years of general business education is preferred. Eligible candidate will have intermediate level Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience as well as a minimum of 3 years working experience in a high-volume clerical environment supporting a Director or Vice President.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and handle several projects at once.
