I.Position Summary:

Leads the delivery of business solutions for assigned business area. Responsible for defining, planning, monitoring and reporting on planned project deliverables which address JetBlue business requirements as well as supporting production systems that provide the business functionality. Manages the product and service delivery cycles to JetBlue business areas, which encompasses the production and review of management and financial reports in addition to providing direction to IT Project Managers. Manages the overall relationship between IT and assigned business units. Guides the allocation of technical resources to production and support activities.

II.Essential Functions:

Á•Manages the IT and assigned Business unit relationship ensuring that clear and concise requirements are understood and agreed service levels are maintained
Á•Helps the business identify, describe and justify technology related initiatives
Á•Works with the business to put projects through the IT Portfolio Management process
Á•Oversees the delivery of strategic and tactical IT initiatives to meet business needs
Á•Facilitates the clear understand of business requirements within IT
Á•Oversees ongoing Service Delivery of Sales and Distribution Systems at jetBlue and champions improvements where appropriate
Á•Works with business unit Crewmembers, defines and assists in the design of products or service requirements; Issues product scope, objectives and preliminary budgetary requirements documentation - 20%
Á•Defines, develops and finalizes internal and external service level agreements while obtaining business unit agreement - 10%
Á•Accountable for project delivery of approved projects
Á•Develops and maintains the IT business unit portfolio of services and products
Á•Identifies and defines potential revenue opportunities / areas of costs savings regarding new product requests
Á•Ensures that JetBlue IT and business standards and procedures are maintained in accordance with Company policies - 2%
Á•Ensures continued accountability for product and services delivery within assigned business units and across IT

III.Interactions:

Supervision Received:

Á•Plans, designs, and carries out programs, projects, studies, or other work independently. Receives little or no supervision from Crewleader

Supervisory Duties:

Á•Trains, assigns work to, and checks work of two (2) or more Crewmembers; participates in the decision to hire, fire, and promote Crewmembers; does not conduct the same work as Crewmembers on a regular basis


Experience:
IV.Minimum Qualifications:

Á•BachelorÁ’s Degree in related discipline with specialized leadership training and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and education
Á•Experience with industry standards in project management and development methodologies (PMBOK, MSF, SEI, Agile Methods, RUP, etc.)
Á•Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in managing IT project portfolios
Á•Regular attendance and punctuality
Á•Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
Á•Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
Á•Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Á•Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Á•When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

V.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Á•Knowledge of the Project Management InstituteÁ’s PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge)
Á•Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Visio
Á•Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft technologies preferred)
Á•Knowledge of JetBlueÁ’s IT disciplines and interdependencies
Á•Knowledge of JetBlueÁ’s business units and how their needs drive IT work
Á•Knowledge of budget processes
Á•Strong interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills including the ability to motivate others
Á•Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Á•Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments
Á•Ability to manage risk
Á•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Á•Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences, and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.)
