Job Description:
Translate client goals into workable, highly usable designs while managing internal/external client relationships throughout each project's preliminary design phase.
Serve as primary liaison to clients during the design phase of projects.
Lead other user experience designers and graphic designers in the creation of usable designs.
On a consulting basis, assist other client groups by providing market-centered user experience design services.

Experience:
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
Experience analyzing complex client needs and creating wireframes and storyboards illustrating design ideas is critical.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate consultation with clients, vendors, and other internal management and staff is critical.
Experience creating commercial quality websites and web frameworks, using FrontPage, DreamWeaver, or similar tools is required.
Experience creating commercial-quality multimedia applications using Macromedia Director, Flash, or similar tools is required.
Experience working within Portal software such as Vignette, IBM Websphere, or BEA is preferred.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree with additional coursework in human-computer interface, cognitive science, a design discipline or computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Graduate-level degree preferred.

Work Experience:
Five to ten years of diverse professional experience leading the design of technology-based user experiences is required.
Experience guiding one or more user experience designers and graphic artists to ensure that design work supports usability of end product is critical.
Experience leading client requirements-gathering sessions, usability testing, and design presentations is required.
Experience in software engineering is required.
