Description:
Job Summary:
Select appropriate equipment and technologies and then develop customer specific engineered water treatment systems and subcomponents based upon customer and/or sales person provided requirements, direction and appropriate water test report data.
Essential Job Duties:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Water Treatment industry
Prepare equipment specification and costs for RFQ’s, must be able to extract necessary information for the design of the system from written specification and other customer documents; perform and interpret RO projections, analyze and size pumps and pipes for flow rates, pressure drops, etc. for water treatment equipment.
Provide support to customers with technical questions and product applications via phone or email - Take on the role of key technical expert for customers
Perform technical drawing feasibility for RFQ’s including creation of P&ID’s and other technical documents and drawings
Perform manufacturing feasibility and capability analysis for RFQ’s
Project Management skills required
Understanding of PLC integration and basic control logic required
Provide technical support for sales and marketing
Minimum Education Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience as an Application Engineer
Prefer 10 yrs experience in water treatment industry
Special Knowledge/Skills and/or Abilities:
Self-starter, well-organized, and self-motivated
Excellent interpersonal skills required, must be able to work with a diverse range of professionals
Strong team player and collaborative worker
Ability and willingness to work directly with customers on resolution of complex technical issues
Experience in conducting workshops and seminars for sales team, partners and customers
PC literacy in MS Office required, MS Project & CAD experience a plus
