Description:
The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for supporting Media Networks businesses with a focus on ESPN business units including Engineering, Production and Programming, Facilities, and Affiliate Sales and Marketing. The Sourcing Specialist will provide support and direction to internal stakeholders through preparation, analysis and evaluation management of Requests for Proposals, developing and implementing contractual agreements, identifying supplier related cost savings, and insuring quality and delivery of products and services needed to support ESPN business units.
This individual will also be responsible for ongoing development/management of stakeholder and supplier relationships.
The Sourcing Specialist will continuously improve the Company’s procure to pay process by identifying and leading efforts with affected departments to reduce cycle times, improve customer service and enhance efficiency.
Reporting Relationship:
The Sourcing Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Media Networks Sourcing and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and prepare Requests for Proposals and Requests for Information. Review and analyze RFP/RFI responses to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the project documentation.
Evaluate total cost/supply analyses to identify opportunities to achieve optimal value
Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic Sourcing methodology
Evaluate/select supplier based on pre-determined selection criteria
*Develop, implement and manage contractual agreements
Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement policies and best practices
Continually assess market conditions and develop sourcing strategies that maximize value to the Company
Lead/assist cross-functional sourcing projects that meet internal client’s requirements
Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making
*Expand the areas of influenced spend through development of strong stakeholder relationships
*Assist in the development of MN AOP
*Help set strategy and direction for SS&P
Analyze marketing industry trends and conditions that affect internal stakeholders and external suppliers and/or pricing
Work with Legal department to manage and assure all Corporate requirements are met and understood.
*Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices
Provide equivalent support across segments as needed
*Management of eSource catalogs that support ESPN business units.
*Management of eProcurement tools (Ariba, CMS, SAP, etc.)
Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
