Description:
Corporate Communications supports all DCP’s businesses through external media and trade relations, internal communications, and communications with licensees. The team includes public relations professionals, web design, management, and operations professionals, and employee communications experts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for day to day content operations within the Corporate Communications department including planning, coordination and implementation of content for DCP’s global employee intranet, B2B website, press room and other electronic communications tools. This person will collaborate with content owners, editorial partners and creative teams to understand communications needs, determine approach for migrating content to an online environment, and ensure content solutions align with preexisting style guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the creation and management of content production plans for major communications initiatives including the creation of new pages, sections, websites, surveys etc.
Coordinates the assembly of assets for post online including graphics, photography, multimedia, copy and translations related to major initiatives
Oversees production, deployment and metrics for electronic newsletters and other email campaigns on a weekly basis
Publishes content including basic HTML hand-coding and CSS
Optimizes photos using preexisting guidelines
Trains others to publish content and enforces content management best practices
Reviews content for appropriateness, accuracy and relevance
EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree in business, communications, technology or related field
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3 years experience in web production and content management
Well organized and proactive in gathering information, analyzing needs, assembling requirements and planning projects
Demonstrated ability to build consensus and develop relationships at all levels of production and management
Familiarity with tools and protocols used for publishing content electronically including HTML and CSS
An understanding and interest in existing and emerging web technologies
Excellent communication skills (copy editing a plus)
Demonstrated ability to manage details, multi-task, and maintain quality and effectiveness through changing priorities in an extremely fast-paced environment
Proficiency on Windows and MAC operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver
Good eye for visual layout and design and understanding of web usability best practices
