Description:
Under the direction of the HR Manager, Kitchens Products, is responsible for all human resources management functions for the division. These activities include training, employee relations, plant communication and performance management.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop strong relationships with associates and Union leadership by spending time on the manufacturing floor, working with managers and foremen, and developing a strong communications strategy.
Ensure effective labor relations and administration of union contract.
Develop and facilitate various training for the organization.
Identify and ensure effective communications throughout the facility.
Counsel management on various HR issues including organizational design, performance management and compensation administration
Able to successfully maneuver through various HR problems based on a solid command of HR processes, procedures, and employment laws, and independently work through employee relations issues for exempt and non-exempt associates.
Consult and guide management in the administration and management of the associate and evolution and performance management tools (Core Competencies, Maximizing Performance, Succession Planning), for the purpose of building organizational and leadership strength.
Participate in all business unit activities and strategy to link objectives to HR activity and programs. Act as a business partner understanding the business from an operational perspective. Continuously displays to business unit how HR can positively affect the "bottom line."
Participate in orienting and training new associates, research, prepare and deliver effective and efficient training that develops new associates and reinforces business objectives.
Must work on at least one HR project team (crossing businesses, COE's) annually.

Supervisory Relationships:
Reports to Manager-Human Resources, Kitchen Products
Organization Relationships:
Frequent contact with union associates
Frequent contact with plant management
Regular contact with business group HR Specialists and Centers of Excellence
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, from a four-year college or university is required.
3-5 years previous experience in Human Resources.
Experience preferred in the following areas: development planning, talent development, short term disability, Family Medical Leave Act, employee relations, Gallup planning and reinforcement and recruitment.
Strong academic record with proven leadership experience.
Passion for HR Management, willing to jump in, learn by doing, and stretching your talents.
Outgoing, flexible, candid, and displays initiative. Highest degree of personal and professional ethics.
