This exciting position of Senior Systems Analyst - Web Hosting is responsible for the administration and support of hosting software and hardware infrastructure for 40 plus Kohler Co. consumer and trade websites. This individual will assist the web design and development team with content and feature change control, load testing and site performance.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing analysis, counsel, and direction to management on problems and develop appropriate solutions, as well as assure efficient operation of existing systems and programs. Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.
Assist or solely direct, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate the efforts of IT user and vendor personnel assigned to a specific systems project.
Provide inputs for project review meetings and management presentations, including general design review, project scheduling, test plan, system and program tactics and methods, system controls, procedures, documentation, and system implementation plan.
Prepare and publish systems project status reports. Comply with Systems Development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules.
Develop detail system and program specifications. Develop system documentation and user procedures. Write computer programs. Prepare test data. Coordinate/perform system and program testing. Coordinate/perform system and program implementation and modification. Research systems and programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test, and implement detailed solutions.
The candidate must have strong diagnostic and organizational skills, strong multi-tasking ability and attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Working knowledge of HTML, web design/development and Java is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with UNIX scripting, Apache, BEA Weblogic and Oracle Database technologies. Familiarization with web content management and content delivery tools as well as usability Best Practices is a plus. Strong understanding of 3 tier hardware infrastructure required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain or related field required. Under some circumstances Associate Degree in Information Technology and minimum 5 years experience will be accepted.
4 - 5 years systems and programming experience.
The ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin, French or Mexican Spanish is a strong plus.
