Job Summary:

The Warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of all aspects of the assembly shop including productivity and production reporting, inventory control, quality control and personnel management. The supervisor acts as an intermediary between management and staff ensuring that company policy is administered and that management is made aware of any problems that could affect company policy.

Job Duties:
1. Manage warehouse and implement improvements to move the warehouse towards a “future state”.
2. Implement and sustain 5S practices within the value stream ensuring all staff including new staff is fully trained and motivated to support 5S practices.
3. Responsible for maintenance of an accurate inventory from raw materials to finished product.
4. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers engaged in the assembling of water treatment/handling equipment and related components. (Activities to include resolution of work problems/discipline, policy communication, recruitment, training etc)
5. Implement work orders as scheduled by the Master Scheduler and assign staff work duties and schedules accordingly.
6. Monitor and recommend measures to improve production methods, working conditions, use of equipment and work habits.
7. Co-ordinate with the Production Manager and Engineering those issues relative to production improvement, quality and ergonomics.
8. Responsible for quality control of raw inventory and finished assembly.
9. Enforce Occupational Health and Safety Regulations as well as the USF WaterGroup safety program.
10. Maintain the department in a clean, well-organized condition, including the proper storage of inventory and storage or disposal of waste material.
11. Responsible for maintaining QAD IS system by entering production figures and inventory receipts and reporting discrepancies and impending shortages.
12. Responsible for completing and distributing all necessary documentation relating to production, equipment changes and maintenance, manpower and safety issues.
13. Responsible for the correct set-up and maintenance of all equipment in the department ensuring effective operation and safety.
14. Monitor time worked and missed and submit information to the payroll department.
15. Responsible for maintaining expenditures within a pre-determined financial budget.

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Supervisory experience.
3. Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles including value stream mapping.
4. Knowledge of company products and production methods.
5. Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
6. Demonstrated leadership ability and organizational skills.
7. Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills.
8. Coaching / training skills.
9. Mechanical ability.
10. Computer skills, knowledge of QAD, Microsoft Word & Excel.
11. CWS certified

Working Conditions:
Indoors, manufacturing plant environment.
