Director of Applications Engineering
Location: Rosemont, IL (Limited travel required)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Director of Applications engineering with 10 - 15 years of water industry and technical experience and 5 - 10 years of engineering management experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strong leadership skills, evidenced by an ability to lead, motivate, and influence others toward consistently positive results and shared success

Manage Application Engineering staff in multiple locations, knowledge to improve an Application Engineering infrastructure - technical expertise of water filtering/conditioning techniques, equipment, and processes

Evaluates existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects and resources, and monitors project timelines

Sets and implements policies and procedures related to application quality standards and testing

Track projects and daily workload, prioritize customer requests

Support the Sales team by providing training and technical expertise

Interact with the marketing team to define customer technical requirements for future designs

Support Service department, customer installations

Assesses needs and ensures that program objectives are met

Coordinates activities of program committees and/or other groups to plan procedures

Provides direction and supervision to staff

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals


Education / Experience:

Bachelors Degree required (Chemical Engineering or equivalent), Masters Degree preferred, minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in the water industry or in a related area

Previous Management Experience required with proven skills in technical leadership and people management

Program Management experience in order to drive internal and customer programs to completion in a minimum timeframe

A clear understanding and the managing of the product development cycle
