RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own the overall lifecycle management for technology implementation projects
Accountable for overall success of projects to include cost, schedule and capabilities delivered
Meet with business stakeholders to develop requirements
Define project scope, functionality and manage expectations.
Produce requirements documentation and gain approval
Meet with technology teams to develop scope estimates, project timelines, and staffing requirements.
Secure additional resources when required
Lead coordination and execution of project effort across all functional departments
Oversee testing efforts to ensure compliance with requirements and system performance
Present timely project status updates to senior management
Manage ultimate roll-out of projects, which includes training, documentation and User Acceptance testing.
Create detailed process models of the functional requirements.
Internal Synergy
Act as the liaison between DSI cast members, other Disney divisions and third parties to plan, coordinate, prioritize and execute tasks associated with implementation projects.
Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining operational procedures. Analyze and recommend improvements.
Foster a sense of Teamwork throughout the Disney organization.
Support & Maintenance
Provide support and assistance in resolving system issues.
Provide support via ad-hoc inquires as needed per user area.
Understand the overall systems and information architecture of the DSI applications.
Provide general troubleshooting and training on DSI applications.
Provide general support to functional departments within DSI
Identify, recruit, train, develop, and manage team members
EDUCATION:
B.S. in Information Systems, other related degree, or equivalent job experience
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
4 – 8 years project management experience with increasing responsibilities
6 – 8 years systems analysis
2 – 4 years internet experience
Detail oriented, Highly organized
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
This position requires outstanding communication skills, both written and oral; proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries; strong critical thinking and analytic skills; considerable prior experience leading large systems projects to successful implementation; positive infectious attitude and “can-do” spirit; Ability to lead teams through challenging tasks while retaining high degree of cooperation.
