Disney Publishing Worldwide develops original, award-winning content (both Disney and non-Disney branded), including Disney books, magazines and comic books. Its products are printed in more than 85 languages across 103 countries, and it is considered the largest publisher of children’s books and magazines in the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide HR business consulting to publishing employees based in North America and globally
  • Develop HR initiatives that align with and support global business strategies
  • Partner with global human resources team and other HR functions to develop, implement and administer HR programs that meet the needs of the business partners and that give Disney Publishing Worldwide the competitive advantage in attracting and retaining qualified employees.
  • Execute innovative programs such as annual Culture Survey and Talent Assessment Planning (TAP) that provide for career development and a positive work environment
  • Ensure commitment to a diverse workforce through representation, community and marketplace opportunity
  • Work with management to address personnel matters such as annual performance evaluations, succession planning, compensation, termination, promotions, hiring, etc
  • Effectively communicate and manage new policies or changes in current policies to employees in a thoughtful, non-bureaucratic manner.
  • Develop innovative ideas that provide for a positive work environment. Seek input from all areas that will assist in Disney Publishing Worldwide being an employer of choice.
  • Provide support for individual departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with other internal resources for training and/or development needs.
  • Be an open, objective, impartial consultant that employees can talk to in confidence about any work issues they may have.

    Experience:
    7-10 years of HR Generalist experience.
