PETCO has an opportunity for a Senior PeopleSoft Developer to support the PeopleSoft Financials System with support responsibilities including system development and maintenance. The Sr. PeopleSoft Developer must be able to lead a development through all phases of the development life cycle and to advise outside consultants regarding PETCO's technical standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as lead developer and integrator through all stages of the Peoplesoft application development life cycle with regard to in-house personnel and outside consultants.

Work as part of a team utilizing standard PeopleSoft and Financials development processes, tools and architecture.

Under limited guidance, perform complex analyses, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation and problem solving of application and technology components.

Interact and communicate effectively with ERP Development team members to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of PeopleSoft updates and modifications into production.

Troubleshoot and correct application errors.

Requirements gathering, analysis, design, and development, working with PeopleSoft Financial applications

Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.

Create detailed design documents for customizations.

Converts specifications about business problems into programming instructions.

Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests; revises as necessary.

Assist with functional setup and guidance.

Maintains records to document program development and revisions.

Rotate duties with other team members to support and trouble shoot PeopleSoft Financials system issues.

Answers help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.

Monitors operating efficiency of existing application systems.

Skills / Experience Required:
5 + years technical experience with PeopleTools version 8.2 or higher. 5 + years PeopleSoft Financials development experience. Expert proficiency in PeopleTools (Application Engine, SQR, PeopleCode). Experience with Tools 8.48.Full SDLC life cycle. Expert SQL, PL/SQL skills. Experience developing within standards around Change Management and SOX.

Preferred Requirements:
Web Services (specifically between PeopleSoft and 3rd party applications). Web Services to CI. Application Package PeopleCode. Integration Broker. Minimum of a Bachelors degree.
