Description:
Genesis10 has multiple opportunities for Java Developers for a major client in New York, NY. These positions are 9 month contract-to-hire. Must be willing to relocate to New York. The Java Developer will be involved with the design/development of customer-facing web applications from the ground up. Web applications include search functionality, workspace management, alerting, analytics, company information, etc. Looking for front, middles AND back end server people.

Experience:
Required Experience/Skills:
- 5 to 7+ years of core Java development experience.
- 3 to 5 years of web development experience in a Java environment.
- Experience with at least one *current* Java-based web UI framework
like Wicket, GWT, Tapestry, Echo3, Ext, etc.
- Java (1.5 or higher), AJAX, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Apache web server, Tomcat.

Desired Experience/Skills:
- Working knowledge of dependency injection concepts.
- Working knowledge of aspect oriented programming concepts.
- IoC Framework experience (Spring or equivalent).
- ORM Framework experience (Hibernate or equivalent).
- Adobe Flex.
- Software architecture skills.
- Design Patterns.
- Knowledge of C++, Database development, multi-threaded applications,
distributed applications is a plus.
