Description:
Capital One is hiring an Audit Manager to lead or conduct audits of diverse and complex IT business units, applications, service bureaus and processes and may supervise staff on audit engagements. Design and execute internal controls testing for moderately complex operations with some integrated components. Provide key input to the development of the annual audit plan. Provide training and coaching to internal audit staff. Maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards.Strong analytical and problem solving skills required to see beyond service issues and objectives to recognize risk to IT and business objectives and to identify root cause.
Responsibilities:
Assist and lead audits of diverse IT business units, including audit planning, audit execution, and communicating audit results to executive management.
Perform risk assessments of business processes and technology by analyzing business activities, potential risk exposures, and the materiality of loss.
Document business processes and related infrastructure to recognize risks to IT and business objectives and to identify root cause.
Design and execute appropriate tests to assess overall design and effectiveness of IT controls. Design and execute internal control testing for operations and technologies of moderate to high-level difficulty, demonstrating strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
Recommend efficiencies to management.
Assist in the communication of the results of audits to business management through written reports and oral presentations.
Provide input into the development of the annual audit plan.
Perform other related work as assigned.
Coordinate work assignments among team members when serving as the auditor-in-charge.
Maintain good client relationships during audit engagements.
Serve as SME to Corporate Audit Services for IT policies and standards.
Experience:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 4 years experience in auditing or managing IT infrastructure, processes, and business applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or Business Administration
• Certified or working toward a professional certification such as a CISA, CIA, CISSP, CPA, or CRCM
• experience auditing data center operations; network security and policy enforcement; technical security compliance; IT strategy; enterprise architecture; VMWare and related applications; Active Directory; Oracle and/or Teradata database management systems, HP’s Business Technology Optimization suite of products; Voice communications; UNIX, Windows, and IBM mainframe operating systems.
• Understanding of financial institution laws and regulations, financial services business processes, major business functions, systems, and applications.
• Experience managing the IT processes or technologies referred to above is considered a plus.
• A moderate understanding of IT control frameworks such as CobIT
• Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
