Description:

To grow sales volume, revenue stream, routes and customer base, and retain existing clients according
to established goals and objectives. Deliver and sell G&K products and services to clients within a
specific geographic area, and establish and maintain superior customer relations.

1. Develop sales and marketing approaches for existing customers based on knowledge of
customer preferences and style, that result in meeting or exceeding growth, retention,
penetration and profitability goals for all assigned accounts.
2. Market new products and services at time of product delivery that result in further
penetration of the account with additional product lines.
3. Monitor changes and threats to G&K’s market base and respond with proactive solutions to
enhance services or reduce risks.
4. Identify prospective customers through existing customer base, utilize creative and
innovative prospecting approaches to solicit new clients, and coordinate efforts with
sales/account managers.
5. Routinely resolve customer issues within established guidelines and partner with customers
in identifying satisfactory solutions.
6. Build strong customer relationships with uniform wearers and decision makers on an ongoing
basis with the objective of continuing, enhancing and renewing service contracts.
7. Confirm customer loads are correct before leaving the warehouse, deliver products to
customers according to specifications, and collect/sort and return used products to the
warehouse.
8. Accurately complete all records and required paper work on a daily basis.
9. Provide work direction to Route Helper.
10. Assist Route Manager with new employee training.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
HS diploma/GED or equivalent reading, verbal and written communication, and basic math skills.
Experience:
1-3 years experience in customer service, sales, or training, with demonstrated success in: resolving
customer problems; retaining customers and increasing sales.
Specific Skills:
Strong customer service, sales and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to: develop effective
working relationships with plant, service and office personnel; understand and follow oral and written
policies and procedures; maintain accurate and timely records; and provide effective training and work
direction to others. Must be able to safely and legally operate a G&K vehicle.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:
Valid commercial driving license, applicable federal and state DOT certification
Working Conditions, Hazards, & Physical Work Demands (Intensity, Duration, Frequency):
Working outside in inclement weather, handling soiled garments, and delivering products to a variety of
different industries. G&K plant environment - noisy and moving equipment. Loading truck - standing,
walking, bending, stooping, regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. In and out of truck throughout day, unloading
and reloading truck - standing, walking, bending, stooping and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
