Mechanical Engineer

Project:
Parsons has been awarded a project with the Maryland Procurement Office for an ID/IQ-based IV&V program to provide: reviews of third party A/E work, conduct self-performed studies and analysis, testing & measuring, specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews, commissioning services and construction oversight on worldwide delivery orders. The duration of the contract is five years with four one-year options.

Need
Parsons is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support IV&V and be based out of the planned program management office in Annapolis Junction, Maryland (adjacent to Ft. Meade) with travel as necessary for specific delivery orders. Successful candidate will support delivery orders as required, support third party A/E (mechanical) planning and design reviews, specialized mechanical engineering services, and commissioning services and construction oversight, as required.

Will also complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected.

Requirements
? 8 – 10 + years of related experience in mechanical facilities design
? Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
? Familiarity with the design of mechanical cooling plants in excess of 5000 tons and Critical Mission Facilities such as Data Centers and Communications Centers and in ATFP (Anti Terrorism and Force Protection) risk assessment is preferred
? Must be able to successfully complete requirements for TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance, existing active security clearance preferred
? 4-year Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
? Proof of US citizenship is required
