This position will require the incumbent to utilize multi-disciplinary skills to achieve the technical objectives for a variety of projects. Specific position requirements include:

All or any combination of the following:

· Performance of detailed reviews of work packages related to mechanical design and fabrication to ensure compliance to approved NETL, DOE, and Parsons Standards
· Performance of mechanical inspections in accordance with applicable codes, as well as, site standards, procedures, and policies.
· Performance of project and process surveillances to ensure compliance to applicable codes, site standards, procedures and policies.
· Interpret and evaluate testing and inspection results.
· Recommends and/or verifies implementation of appropriate corrective action to the Quality Assurance Manager for quality issues, in coordination with program management, engineering, purchasing, construction management and others,
· Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in developing and performing discipline specific training and qualification of RDS personnel.
· Performs, supports, and participates in supplier evaluations as determined by the Quality Assurance Manager.
· Interaction with off-site vendors, as required, to ensure that all design criteria, material specifications, drawing content, and inspection requirements in vendor packages meet the QA\QC site standards.
· Identifies and reports quality issues or trends in the assigned area or product based on data from a variety of sources,
· Interaction with the customer and other on-site groups regarding QA\QC requirements pertaining to drawing content and approval processes.
· Performs other functions associated with this position as appropriate and directed by management.

Experience:
The successful candidate will meet the following educational, qualification, and experience requirements:
Required:
· High School diploma and a minimum of 5 years of related QA work experience, or
· 2-year degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field and a minimum of 3 years of related QA work experience.
· Knowledge of industry quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NQA-1
· Work experience with welding processes and pressure testing (performing, designing, and/or inspecting) as well as performing material certification verification strongly desired.
· Good oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:
· 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field),
· Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equivalent) desirable,
· ASQ Certification (CQT, CQA, or CQE) desirable,
· Proficiency in the use of computers and appropriate software and applications to execute assigned functions.
