Job Requirements:
o5 years of Cognos BI and Metrics Studio experience with minimum of 3 years experience in 8.x
o3 years of BI Architect experience involving Data Modeling including multi-dimensional modeling
o5 years of experience with Oracle with ability to develop complex SQL Queries
oExperience in working with Cognos Framework Manager, creating and maintaining packages, design and maintenance of the meta-model and developing reports
oPlan, estimate and coordinate development activities
oExperience in leading development teams and co-ordinate onshore and offshore activities
oTrain junior developers to develop packages and reports
oAbility to transform business requirements into reports, dashboard and other BI components
oExperience with design of business intelligence application solutions including database design, ETL, report design and dashboard, analytics and KPI
oExperience with integrating Cognos 8 BI and Metrics Manager
oAnalyze Cognos new releases and provide recommendation for upgrades
oAbility to focus on priorities, work with various offshore/onshore teams and meet
deadlines and provide regular status report to development manager
oAbility to adjust to onshore and offshore time zones
oGood written and verbal communication skills
o Administer multiple tier Cognos 8 environments
oEngineer Cognos Framework Manager models and packages
oDevelop advanced Cognos Enterprise Planning applications, PowerPlay cubes and Cognos Report
oPrepare and review technical and logical design and artifacts
o Administer Cognos environments including IWR, Cognos ReportNet, Cognos 8 and Cognos Enterprises Planning
oArchitect PowerPlay/OLAP reporting infrastructure
oResponsible for developing, implementing Analytics and Reports with multiple report pages, prompts, calculations, nested queries, nested objects, and variables working with applications and data
oAutomate legacy data outputs to improve efficiency of the team
oEffectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure business environment
oWork quickly and efficiently in order to meet strict deadlines
oDevelop process flows and methodology for migrating code from development to QA to production
oEvaluate, install and implement Cognos Series solution for entire enterprise
oRoll-out and train organizations on Analytics and Reporting
oInstall and configure Cognos software for clients and server
oPerform detailed analysis of organization’s current PowerCubes and BI requirements
oDevelop detailed architecture documentation and make recommendations to senior management addressing BI requirements utilizing presentation tools
