Manager Statistical Analysis - Capital One Auto Finance

Responsibilities:
Development, enhancement and implementation of statistical and other quantitative models to support underwriting, account management and other business decisions
Understanding technical issues in statistical modeling and applying these skills toward solving business problems
Monitoring statistical model performance and providing technical guidance to business leadership
Identifying opportunities to apply quantitative methods to improve business performance
Communicating technical subject matter clearly and concisely to individuals from various backgrounds
Project Delivery: Define project scope, execute and evaluate projects, champion new ideas, and influence business leaders.
Experience:
Basic Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Econometrics or another related field of study
• Proficiency in key statistical techniques (predictive modeling, logistic regression, survival analysis, design of experiments, decision trees, data mining methods, and other advanced statistical techniques)
• 2 years experience with consumer financial credit risk modeling
• Proficient in SAS programming
Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD in Statistics, Mathematics or other related fields of study
• Strong SAS programming skills Ability to communicate effectively and influence others
• 5+ years experience with consumer financial credit risk modeling
• Strong business acumen
