Description:
Be an integral part of the building of this business through supporting strategic planning efforts, partnering to help deliver on business results, long-term financial planning, profitability analysis and income statement planning. Drive general improvements in the overall profitability of the business through leading insightful analysis in addition to identifying revenue & cost opportunities as well as process utilitiesacross the company. Support the Senior Leadership Team of the Mortgage Business through problem analysis and business recommendations as well as monthly business reviews and updates.
Responsibilities:
Support the mortgage servicing area to enable sound business decisions
Lead the development of reporting & forecasting of the back book of business
Manage and lead a team as well as set strategic direction and goals for the team
Enable strategy for loss mitigation through collaboration w/ Default Management team
P&L analysis and forecasting of Servicing portfolio including working w/ Treasury, Accounting & Servicing team.
Own the accounting implications on P&L of Purchase accounting adjustments
Perform portfolio monitoring & analysis
Experience:
Basic Qualifications:
• At least a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting
• At least 5 Years experience in a financial management capacity in the mortgage industry
• At least 5 Years experience in managing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 - 10 Years experience in a financial management capacity in the mortgage industry, preferrably in the mortgage servicing sector
• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
• CPA or CFA
• 10 Years experience in management of budgeting, forecasting and reporting functions
• 10 Years experience in large project implementation
• 10 Years experience in managing teams
