Description:
Performs a wide range of duties related to the processing and underwriting of residential mortgage loans. Maintains contact with external and internal customers to ensure workflow deadlines are met. Assumes primary responsibility for the loan file upon receipt. Proactive in communicating status on the loan to both the borrower and the Loan Originator, and managing to the closing date. Responsible for updating the file as work progresses on the processing system.

Experience:
. High school diploma or equivalent.
. Two (2) or more years residential mortgage loan processing experience.
. Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans.
. Detailed knowledge of processing, underwriting and closing procedures.
. In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.

. In-depth understanding of the computer loan application system.
. Proven computer skills.
. Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing residential real estate lending.
. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
. Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.
. Ability to analyze policies, procedures and guidelines in a way that maximizes productivity but protects the level of risk desired.
