Description:
Position Summary:

The Manager supports the budgeting and variance analysis process of the Company's revenue and operating expenditures and is responsible for route profitability analysis. Additional duties include overseeing staff that support cost center heads with their quarterly and annual budget preparation. The Manager also assists with any ad hoc analyses requested by other departments.

Essential Functions:

Financial Planning
* Assists cost center heads with financial analyses
* Performs route profitability analyses and assists with revenue forecasting
* Identifies cost saving initiatives and participates on cost saving teams
* Analyzes productivity trends
* Analyzes the staffing needs of our large workgroups
* Miscellaneous analyses requested by senior management

Budgeting
* Supervises Budget Analysts and helps support cost center heads
* Responsible for one or more of the following: Departmental, Productivity, Station Reporting, Actual vs. Budget results, headcount variance
* Assists with creating the operating and capital budgets

The Manager is responsible for one of the following sets of responsibilities depending on the specific area of expertise within the Department:

Capital Expenditures
* Enhances the capital process; Authorization For Expenditure (AFE) approval, spending, forecasting, 404 compliance
* Improves capital reporting with new VISear capabilities

Forecasting
* Supports the quarterly rolling forecast process
* Assists with the development of the five (5) year forecasting models

Route Profitability Analysis
* Creates monthly route profitability reporting
* Coordinates revenue trend analysis and forecasting

Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

* BachelorÁ’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
* Five (5) years of budgeting and/or analytical experience
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MasterÁ’s of Business Administration (MBA) preferred but not required
* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* Pass a ten (10) year background check (may include credit check) and pre-employment drug test
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
* Excellent communication and analytical skills
* Self-starter who is willing to grow with the Company
