Description:
Location: Chicago, ILL

SQL Server DBA

Must have a minimum five years experience in MS SQL Server database environments (three of MS-SQL 2005) with a focus on maintaining, backing up, and optimization of critical data systems including performance tuning, store procedure development, and SSIS design.

• Experience in 64-bit clustered environment required
• Familiarity with various replication strategies; implementation experience a plus
• Experience administering SSAS
• Experience in mixed-mode security environment
• Strong experience architecting OLTP and OLAP databases
• Proficiency in T-SQL profiling and optimization
• Ability to use SQL Profiler for deadlock resolution and load analysis
• Proficient in the integration of SQL Server/relational databases with an n-tiered application architecture
• High level of experience in managing and configuring SSIS packages in production environment
• Experience deploying all application database updates via script from a code-versioning system
• Keen sense of maintaining database layer as component of a larger application, rather than as a standalone facility
The candidate should have
• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Good estimation skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines while working in a fast paced environment
