Description:
Person's ability to design and implement scalable solutions will be critical to success in this role. Applications will be written using C# and ASP.NET, and may use a WinForms or web interface, depending on the situation. Environments include multiple load-balanced web/application server farms and clustered database servers (SQL 2005).

Primary Responsibilities
1) Application design and programming for e-commerce systems
2) Provide ongoing technical support for production e-commerce systems; includes 3rd tier troubleshooting, bug fixes, and code refactoring
3) Assisting with documenting requirements (or other project documentation) as needed; includes collaborative meetings with customers
4) Assist in preparing estimates for implementing new system enhancements
5) Participate in peer reviews of code written by other developers

Required General Skills
1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at multiple levels, including: programmers, non-technical project managers, business analysts, and customers
2) Strong problem solving and analytical skills
3) Effective organizational skills, demonstrated by ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and be attentive to details
4) Must be a team player
5) Minimum 4 years software development experience, with majority of recent experience with Microsoft development technologies

Required Technical Skills
1) Developer-.NET C# - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
Expect additional expertise with Microsoft development tools, but must have significant, recent experience with C#, ASP.NET, and web services (C# experience is not optional)
2) Understands factors that influence application performance and scalability; Previous Internet development experience - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.
Experience with enterprise and/or high-volume systems
3) SQL Server database design and stored procedure development - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.
4) Applying service-oriented concepts in application architecture
5) Object-oriented analysis, design, and development - Intermediate with 5 year(s) experience.
Classroom OO knowledge is not sufficient - expected to understand concepts, and have experience applying on many projects

Experience:
Experience with a formal methodology
Experience with an iterative, agile process would be a plus
2) Experience with automated unit testing and automated software build processes
Experience with NUnit and TFS preferred
3) Experience with WPF and WC
