Description:
The Supervisor of Technical Publications oversees the development and revision service of the various publication types for the Aircraft Engineering department. The Supervisor provides direction and guidance to the Technical Publications Teammembers.

Experience:
Á•High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required
Á•Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading a technical publications team in an engineering environment, preferably within the aviation industry
Á•Minimum ten (10) years experience of technical writing in the aviation/aerospace related industry, including but not limited to converting engineering data into written, step-by-step, or linear instructions sets, and working on aircraft maintenance documents
Á•Minimum of ten (10) years working with ATA Guidelines, acceptable methods of document management and revision control
Á•Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally
Á•Valid, unrestricted Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States or ability to obtain one
Á•Must speak, read and write English fluently
Á•Regular attendance is required
Á•Must have a positive attitude

Á•Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
Á•Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located
Á•Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets our parent companyÁ’s (JetBlue Airways) insurance standards
Á•Must pass 10 year background check and drug test
Á•When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Teammembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Á• Proficient with Microsoft Word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
Á• Ability to communicate complex technical information and delegate directions for task completion
Á• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Á• Must have strong analytical, organizational and planning abilities to ensure compliance and detailed supporting data
Á• Must have the ability to interact with a wide range of customer groups, both internal and external
Á• Ability to prioritize workload
Á• Must have working knowledge of computer networking
