experienced Electrical Engineer IV to support the Family Care Product Supply
Improvement Team at our Chester Operations Facility in Chester, PA

Position Summary:

Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design,
develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes
in a manner that meets safety and performance expectations.
The Electrical Engineer for this role will provide leadership
and creativity in exploration, design, development,
optimization and implementation of major processes and
systems for the Improvement Team. Candidates must have
expertise across multiple technologies and will have a demonstrated ability to
effectively provide work direction to a broad range of team
members. The incumbent reports to an Engineering Team Leader
and receives direction in the form of broad assignment
objectives. Key customers include: K-C Chester Tissue Manufacturing, Tissue Converting, Distribution, Utilities operations, and other K-C facilities as priorities dictate.

Responsibilities:
1) Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.
2) Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development and optimization of Tissue and Towels converting and manufacturing equipment and
processes to meet unit objectives.
3) Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized for
expertise and functional leadership in application of
engineering principles, scientific analysis and project
management while providing advice and counsel to others.
4) Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner.
Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes,
policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well
being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.
5) Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate
root cause.
6) Assist in the development of others within the area
of the incumbent's expertise.


Qualifications:
1) Requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree: Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited College or University and 12 years experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments.
Candidates with an Associate, Bachelor, or
Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and
possessing applicable experience may also be considered.

2) Strong experience with manufacturing control systems, such
as: PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); variable speed motor drives; HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) distributed control systems; instrumentation; power distribution

3) A recognized leader in Electrical Engineering including technology understanding and development with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major capital projects.

4) A demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes.


Preferred Qualifications:
1) 12+ years of experience in a variety of plant and staff
assignments, including engineering, maintenance and operations.

2) Experience with the following manufacturing control systems: Allen Bradley and/or Rockwell Automation PLC's and/or variable speed motor drives; Modicon plc's; Honeywell TDC, Wonderware and/or Allen Bradley HMI; instrumentation, power distribution.

3) Demonstrated continuing self-development
4) Experience working with external technical service
providers
5) Experience and expertise with Kimberly-Clark engineering technology, procedures and processes.
