Kohler Co., a world class manufacturer of exceptional engines, power generation systems, kitchen and bath products, distinguished furniture, and renowned for luxurious hospitality business is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill our Spring/Summer (January - August) HR Co-op position within the Engines Business. This position has the option of being scheduled between 24 and 40 hours per week depending on the availability of the candidate.

Under the direction of the HR Manager and HR Generalist, this position will be responsible for supporting the human resources department. Scope will range from HR support duties including the hiring process to more complex assignments including support for manufacturing associates.

Responsible for overseeing the Engine Business co-op program including working with hiring managers and co-ops and recommending improvements.

Responsible for supporting the recruiting process. This includes attending job fairs, posting positions, sourcing resumes, pre-screening candidates, presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, interviewing and conducting references.

Assist with training to include new employee orientations.

Answer questions and assist in general Human Resource questions and concerns.

Assist the HR Generalists and Managers on all other projects assigned.

Supervisory Relationships
Reports to Manager-Human Resources, Engines

Frequent contact with all levels of management and associates within the group

Frequent with Corporate HR, Centers of Excellence & Kohler Konnect

Frequent contact with External applicants

Education and Experience:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Human Resources or related field. Strong attention to detail as well as good written and verbal communications are a must. Must have strong computer skills (MS Office). Must be flexible and have superior multi-tasking abilities. Must be available to work at least 24 hours during normal business hours.
