JOB SUMMARY:
Direct sales and service operations for a single branch location where products are laundered and serviced by another G&K Services plant. The branch location acts as a hub for receiving and delivery operations within an assigned service geography

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Optimizes growth in sales and profit within the branch location through active and energetic development of customer relationships as well as aggressive leadership of all branch activities and employees
- Confers with customers and employees to evaluate and promote improved operations and services within the branch and its service area
- Maintains outstanding and positive working relationship with the plant location servicing the branch’s production needs
- Participates in the appropriate and fair resolution of human resources issues when necessary
- Responsible for or actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, assessment, training and development of staff members throughout the business unit
- Monitors financial and accounting performance of the branch and responds appropriately in areas such as revenue development and expense/receivable control. Recommends budgets to management
- Participates with the General Manager in planning activities and executes plans appropriately in response to business conditions and opportunities
- Maintains an ability and willingness to undertake responsibilities of all positions within the branch in the event of an emergency or staff shortages
- Coordinates receiving and distribution of garments and products from customers in accordance with policies, principles and procedures established by G&K Services
- Maintains current customer base at an optimal and preferably increasing profit level while receiving additional revenue from new customers
- Reviews operations of competing organizations and plans and directs sales program to develop new business
- Consistently monitors and responds appropriately to actual and expected events effecting the business. Completes other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) and three to five years related experience

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Strong language skills; including the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company
- Mathematical skills; including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply concepts to Profit & Loss Analysis
- Reasoning ability; including the ability to apply common sense understanding to deal with problems involving several variables in fairly standardized situations

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, LICENSES etc.:
- This position requires someone with high mental and schedule flexibility, and a willingness to make short notice changes in order to meet customer, employee and prospect needs. An outstanding focus on building very positive relationships with customer and prospects is absolutely necessary
