Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
oTechnical System Design (25%)
oReview and understand project plans
oPrepare detail design document
oPrepare WBS for construction phase
oDevelop prototype and/or proof of concept
oConduct design walk-thru
oAssure accurate and thorough construction of assigned projects. (50%)
oPrepare weekly status summary reports
oConstruct code
oConduct unit, alpha, and beta testing
oValidate and correct bugs
oDocument code / work flow
oConduct code review
oSOX documentation
oWrite user test cases for SOX compliance
oConduct tests leveraging test plans
oCreate deployment documentation including change controls
oProvide support to G&K employees (25%)
oIdentify, document and resolve application support issues
oProvide technical knowledge and training to end-users
oProvide technical training to Support Analysts
oWrite end-user instructions
oProvide on-call day support for current and new applications
oParticipate in weekly beeper rotation for evening and week-end support as assigned by manager
oSpecial projects as assigned.

Experience:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
oBA / BS, in computer science or related field certification or equivalent experience

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
oThorough understanding of programming concepts
oA minimum of 1 - 3 years of development experience

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
oKnowledge of MS Office and MS Tools
oStrong skills in the areas of oral and written communications,
oGood problem solving and analytical skills
oKnowledge of RPG or Synon preferred
oMinimum of 1-2 years on AS/400 (iSeries)
oAbility to effectively collaborate with peers and internal/external user communities
oCreative thinker, open to idea exploration with strong problem solving skills
oFlexible and responsive; able to perform in a fast paced and dynamic environment
