SPECIFIC JOB CONTENT
Responsible for the performance management and direct supervision of the Corporate Systems Development Logistics & Warehouse Management functional area and assigned staff. This includes leading a team that implements and maintains systems and Kohler best business practices at all business units with a focus on Logistics & Warehouse Management. Some key areas include warehouse management, inventory management, delivery processing, SAPConsole, transportation management, ConnectShip, load planning workbench, service parts carousel, physical inventory best practice, freight pay, yard management, RFID, and Load Designer. This role includes the opportunity to work with senior management in all business units to establish priorities for improving practices around the globe. This includes the following: Managing a portfolio of IT and business projects that will impact the effectiveness of the entire organization, developing Logistics & Warehouse Management reporting, and evaluating, recommending and championing best-in-class tools / programs to perform the Logistics & Warehouse Management functions. Furthermore, this includes leadership in our Global CIT-RCP (Resource Capacity Planning) and Global CIT-NPD (New Process Design) teams, with a focus on innovation.
Manage staff in support of computer systems, business entities and applications. Plan, schedule and control systems projects. Provide staff for major business systems projects and process improvement initiatives. Direct activities of Systems Project Leaders and Systems Analysts. Establish and maintain service level agreements with customers. Advisor of the design, implementation and maintenance of computer systems and programs to increase business effectiveness, solve problems and create new opportunities to assist in achievement of business goals. Prepare business strategy material and capable of presenting to upper management. Proficient in many disciplines within select functional areas. In-depth functional expertise for IT functional area of responsibility. Monitor policies, procedures, and standards documents. Provide 24X7 on-call escalation support of systems. Establish and review capacity, utilization and other performance measures. Development and control of budget, capital plans, strategic and resource planning. Direct and supervise staff covering a wide range of activities including multiple concurrent projects. Interface with all levels of personnel in all company groups and businesses. Acts independently and makes decisions. Collaborate with IT program managers to schedule and allocate human resources for projects. Collaborates directly with all management levels and project leaders to determine system objectives and solutions. Mentors/develops staff and provides timely and honest performance appraisals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
College/University degree strongly preferred. Masters/MBA desirable. 3- 5 years project management experience (directing staff and establishing priorities with management). Significant depth of expertise and track record of accomplishments in project management in multiple IT functional areas.
