Position Summary:

* The Engineer Server Level II installs, maintains, and troubleshoots server software and hardware. The Engineer Server Level II works with Server Engineering and Application Support staff to maintain systems and applications.

Essential Functions:

* Responsible for day-to-day monitoring of the Windows Server environment
* Monitors and escalates support issues for certain components of JetBlueÁ’s Windows networking infrastructure including Active * Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and others
* Ensures MS-SQL database applications and interfaces are available via periodic health checks
* Support and troubleshoot server based applications on a local and remote level throughout the enterprise
* Configure, enhance, or upgrade server hardware as needed to keep up with the growing demands of the user population
* Monitor servers and addresses daily server issues
* Perform routine health checks against our Citrix computing environment
* Provides timely escalation for issues based on predefined levels for mission critical applications.

Interactions:

Supervision Received:

* Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Crewleader/Teamleader. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction but receives additional specific instructions from Crewleader/Teamleader for new, difficult, or special projects/assignments

Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

* BachelorÁ’s Degree or equivalent coursework/experience in a related field
* Two (2) to five (5) years experience building and administering Windows servers
* Two (2) to five (5) years experience with Microsoft networking including TCP/IP
* Experience with MS-SQL databases and Active Directory
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification or equivalent preferred
* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of Microsoft server hardware, administration and implementation
* Knowledge of Microsoft networking applications, networking protocols, routers and firewalls
* Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft technologies preferred)
* Flexibility with schedule - this is a role with changing shift times.
* Knowledge of VMWare and virtualization technologies
* Knowledge of Citrix server installations and administration
* Team player with the ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments
* Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Effective project management skills
* Flexibility, agility and change management skills

* Normal office environment with periodic travel to other locations
* Position requires adhering to scheduled shift which can include days nights and weekends.
