Position Purpose:
Based at Kimberly-Clark’s corporate headquarters in Dallas, the Director, KCI Business Analysis will report to the Vice President of KCI Finance. This position will have 2 team leaders reporting to it. Direct the Business Analysis organization to support business management in strategic, business and operations analysis, business planning, business unit financial reporting, internal control, and other financial services by participating in the business planning and decision-making process
Scope:
The incumbent is directly responsible for financial controls within the unit, and for reviewing and recommending appropriate internal controls in all areas of the business. A principal activity of the position is to support the profitable growth of the corporation by providing effective business and financial planning, and ensuring that management accounting and control systems are both effective and efficient. The incumbent and his/her staff participate directly in the formulation of business strategies and objectives; develop, organize and coordinate the planning systems; and serve as a source of business knowledge to deal with a wide variety of substantive issues, problems and opportunities. A major responsibility of the incumbent is the development of a strong financial organization, by providing professional and managerial development opportunities and by participating in the Financial Career Development process.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
More than 10 years of exposure to manufacturing operations and business analysis.
Demonstrated strengths in leadership, interpersonal communications, critical thinking, and functional/technical skills.
The incumbent interacts with the most senior levels of the Corporation and therefore must be able to effectively communicate, influence and manage change in order to be successful.
The incumbent must be able to motivate and inspire his direct and indirect deputies to perform at a high level in the support of delivering against the business impact goals.
A broad appreciation and understanding of economics, finance, business management and the inter-relationships among these disciplines, as well as a thorough knowledge of policies and practices, cost accounting, and general accounting operations.
Well versed in the principles and practices of finance and accounting in order to ensure that procedures, instructions and practices within the unit provide adequate internal financial control and are in conformance with corporate accounting and financial control policies and instructions.
