Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the business segment of The Walt Disney Company that extends the Disney brand to merchandise ranging from apparel, toys, home decor and books to interactive games, food and beverages, stationery, electronics and animation art.

Disney Publishing Worldwide develops original, award-winning content (both Disney and non-Disney branded), including Disney books, magazines and comic books. Its products are printed in more than 85 languages across 103 countries, and it is considered the largest publisher of children’s books and magazines in the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This candidate will handle advertising sales and marketing responsibilities for key accounts located in the New York tri-state area.- specifically with consumer electronics, packaged goods and pharmaceutical advertisers and agencies. Daily responsibilities include developing sales presentations and strategies and making a minimum of 10-15 in person sales calls a week. Understanding of other media platforms (i.e. online, radio and cable television) needed as candidate will be asked to help create and work with our internal Disney media partners on integrated sales packages for clients.


EDUCATION:
Minimum five years consumer magazine ad sales experience required. Candidate must be well versed in media sales with knowledge of syndicated research, circulation methodologies (specifically knowledge of ABC statements) , production, and pricing negotiations as well.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Organizational skills a must, along with excellent phone and in person communication skills. Candidate needs to be friendly, articulate and outgoing. Current client relationships in the New York tri-state territory a plus.
