Position Summary:
The Coordinator coordinates and interacts with various people, both internal and external to JetBlue Airways, to support the materiel and operational needs of the Company. The Coordinator also balances the system-wide allocation of materiel and is responsible for reporting this information to leadership. .
Essential Functions:
- Manage all materiel requests including aircraft, stock backfill, ground support, and Blue City requirements
- Balancing the system-wide distribution of materiel with the focus on inventory reduction and its impact on reducing overall inventory value.
- Interacts with Technical Operations Group in supporting system wide materiel requirements
- Monitors and manages materiel, tools and equipments for operations support
- Coordinates Materiel logistics issues
- Plans materiel requirements for operational support
- Coordinates allocation of materiel with Materiel Inventory, Planning, Repair, Technical Purchasing and Operations
- Runs daily reports on requisitions and updates all involved parties
- Works with leadership on any issues in supporting the operations
Interactions:
Supervision Received:
- Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Crewleader. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction but receives additional specific instructions from Crewleader for new, difficult, or special projects/assignments
Supervisory Duties:
- No supervisory responsibility

- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility, agility and change management skills
- Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Knowledge in Federal Aviation Regulations(FARÁ’s), Airworthiness Directives (ADÁ’s) and Service Bulletins (SBÁ’s) preferred but not required

- Computer and other office equipment
Work Environment:
- The normal working environment is in the office with possible travel required to component repair shops, the flight line, or the warehouse.
- The out of office working environment may present elevated noise levels and weather variations.
Physical Effort:
- Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. (Light)

Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Two (2) years of working in an aircraft maintenance or materials environment preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of inventory management
- Working knowledge of airline maintenance programs is desirable preferred but not required
- Must be able to handle multi task
- Purchasing/Supply Chain background a plus
- Strong financial background desired
- Must be able to type 30+ words per minute
- Able to work is stressful environment
- Shift work and holiday coverage required
- Valid drivers license
