Product Specialist

Come play a role in the growth of the Disney ABC Television Group, Business Technology Group. Disney ABC Television Group encompasses the powerful cable television properties of Disney Channel, Toon Disney, and SOAPnet. Disney ABC Television Group manages Disney's kids programming internationally and on multiple U.S. television platforms, including ABC Television and ABC Family.

The Product Specialist, Technical Product Management Office will drive project execution for the technology team. This will include: Managing day to day interactions on technology projects, managing outside vendors on technology initiatives, coordinating meetings, drafting technology project plans, resolving technology issues and documenting processes. The candidate must be capable of managing several medium sized projects or many smaller scale initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience managing complex technical projects from inception to completion.
* Strong technical and development expertise with MS SQL and J2EE.
* Proven ability to work with all members of the project team.
* Experience drafting requirements and functional specifications.
* Must be extremely organized and capable of tracking many issues simultaneously.

Specific Skills Required:
* 3+ years project management experience; strong written and verbal communications skills.
* 4+ years media and entertainment experience; strong background in operations and production.
* Responsible for day-to-day operations of various, but specific broadcast applications.
* Must have the ability to plan and organize around deadlines.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Familiar with J2EE application development and web development.
* Experience with Xytech, SharePoint, Workflow Management Systems, Library functions and other cable technologies preferred.
