Responsibilities:
Execute live, interactive on-air show, meeting or exceeding all ratings goals.
On the air 2 regular shifts (currently Sunday 8P – Mid and Monday 7P-Mid CT), and fill in for vacation and sick days.
Local Performances on Saturday, and as needed throughout the week for local station, KMKI. On-site appearances at local advertisers’ place of business (or community fairs and festivals partnered with 3rd party clients) to drive tune in by generating fun and excitement for the families that attend, while also promoting and addressing the client’s needs.
Artist archive curator.
Conduct daily show preparation and research to include audience and pop music culture.
Attend weekly air check sessions; implement creative direction.
Lead development and execution of Artist Interview Archival.
Record Voice Over for internal and external promo, commercial material and local (Dallas) public affairs program.
Assist in regular, brainstorm creative sessions.
Other production duties as required.
Network or Local Staff meetings as required
Required Qualifications:
Experienced On-air personality with 3+ years experience in Major Market radio.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to participate in teams.
Proven ability to prioritize and follow through on objectives.
Exceptional creative skills with proven ability to brainstorm and collaborate within teams.
Youthful attitude and sensibility
Experience as a live performer required in local on-sight performances or theatrical productions.
Digital production skills; preferably Pro Tools.
