We have an opening for a Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of Distribution Center Associates and to ensure that merchandise is properly and efficiently picked to fill store and regional D.C. orders. This position consists of a variety of different tasks, ranging from inventory control to Associate management.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise the daily activities of the Distribution Center Associates in one or more functional work units such as Picking, Shipping, Receiving, etc. to include training, scheduling, assignment delegation and daily review of work to ensure that assigned duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Complete all administrative paperwork associated with the conduct of business to include payroll documents and forward such documents to the appropriate department.

Observe and promote established safety procedures; conduct regular safety training meetings and forward a copy of all safety-related documentation to Human Resources.

Communicate any productivity concerns to the Operations Manager


Education and Experience:

High school diploma or its equivalent (GED). A Bachelors degree is preferred.

Ability to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of basic Distribution Center management principles, including scheduling, accounting relationships and inventory control policies.

Ability to interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts.
