Adventures by Disney - Air Concierge Agent

This is a full-time, hourly position, centered at the Walt Disney Travel Company in downtown Anaheim. Candidates must be fully available to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, from 6 AM – 6 PM PST.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will -

  • Participate in the on-going growth and development of a new “uniquely Disney” travel offering to serve new markets and segments of the vacation market by supporting the creation, planning, and fulfillment of Adventures by Disney travel packages to more than 18 destinations around the world.
  • Facilitate open communication with Guests and travel agents via inbound telephone calls regarding product availability, pricing, and services offered through Adventures by Disney including airline reservations and ticketing through Worldspan.
  • Be responsible to create magical vacation experiences through demonstrated Guest service and communication skills with a primary focus on itinerary creation and planning related to air transportation while maintaining a high sense of urgency and focus on Guests.
  • Provide Guests with a ''1 stop shop'' for the planning, creation and fulfillment of their unique adventure by offering multiple options for air transportation, travel dates, and specific itinerary options tailored to each Guests individual needs.
  • Meet key performance indicators and other service guidelines as outlined by both the Adventures by Disney Manager and Air operations Manager.
  • Provide technical support during the execution phase of new products for any changes that may impact the ability to facilitate air transportation offers to our Guests
  • Complete deliverables within agreed upon time with a high level of accuracy and minimal direction
  • Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with peers and supervisory teams across ABD Operations, Air Operations and all other Key Stakeholders
  • Actively identify and share successes and opportunities with their peers and leadership team to contribute to the continued growth of the Adventures by Disney brand

    While the main focus of the position will be to locate and provide personalized, convenient, and competitively priced air travel options that meet the needs of the Guest, Cast Members will also be required to learn and support all aspects of the Adventures by Disney packages including, but not limited to, ''land-only'' reservations.

    JOB DUTIES
  • Facilitate open communication with Guests and travel agents via inbound telephone calls regarding product availability, pricing, and services offered through Adventures by Disney with a primary focus on airline reservations and ticketing through Worldspan.
  • Perform back-of-house functionalities related to the creation and management of Guests PNR's in Worldspan, including but not limited to, booking, quality control, ticketing, and schedule changes.
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with peers and management to share updates and best practices in an effort to continually develop both the team and individual cast members.
  • Keep apprised of competitors’ air rates and options in an effort to better assist our Guests with flexible, competitive air rates and options.

    QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 2-3 years of applicable experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience using the Accovia Respro/Logitours reservation application
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Worldspan, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Demonstrated knowledge of travel and/or air operations
  • Ability to identify and resolve guest needs by fact finding and offering reasonable and feasible travel options regardless of the complexity of the requests; exemplary guest service skills
  • Ability to process large amounts of information in a fast paced environment; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve guest impacting issues in a timely and effective manner; problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and peers
