A well-known, growing Columbia, SC construction company is offering a stellar opportunity for an Accounting Clerk with exceptional organizational skills and great attention to detail. As an Accounting Clerk, you will use your excellent problem solving skills and a ?Can-Do? attitude each and every day. Your duties will consist of data entry of accounts payable, deposits and positing of journal entries. You will maintain accurate records and complete documentation for all transactions. As a direct report to the Assistant Controller you will assist with month-end closing, from account reconciliation to the preparation of financial statements. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing all A/P operations (moderate to high volume), providing support in A/R and payroll, working with general contractors regarding account inquiries and general administrative tasks.

5+ years prior A/P or general accounting experience is preferred, as is a desire to collaborate, and a strong work ethic with excellent time management skills. An AA in accounting and prior construction and industry experience a huge plus, as is a familiarity with Quickbooks. Apply for this great position today!
