In conjunction with the Fifth Third Bank strategy, the Investment Advisors division provides Commercial and Consumer clients with personal wealth management services, financial planning, brokerage services, life insurance planning, 401(k) services, custodial services and investment management through Fifth Third Private Bank, Fifth Third Securities, Fifth Third Insurance, Fifth Third Institutional Services, Mirador Family Wealth Advisors and ClearArc Capital.

GENERAL FUNCTION: The individual in this Fixed Income PM/Tax-exempt Trader role will work in a team environment providing a wide range of highly responsible and complex duties for the fixed income group. Primary functions include total return portfolio management, trading, corporate research and oversight of the trade process within the fixed income group. This position may have direct client contact.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

# Construct and monitor total return portfolios, utilizing the strategy to provide alpha
# Responsible for timely execution of trades
# Assist with the development of fixed income strategy
# Recommend research and analyze corporate credits
# Responsible for the oversight of the fixed income trade process
# Write the "Fix" for use by the Portfolio Managers and Customers
# Provide portfolio management analytics and generate fixed income reporting
# Construct proposals for prospecting with individual customization as needed
# Oversee the nonrated fixed income compliance reports on a daily basis
# Monitor and track performance for composites on a monthly basis
# Maintain Letter of Credit documentation and spreadsheets for variable rate demand notes

Experience Required

# 3-5 years of investment or bond experience
# Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
# CFA designation in process or completed and/or graduate degree in process or completed
# Strong attention to detail, written/verbal communication and presentation skills
# Intermediate level MS Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
# Ability/comfort in taking calculated risk, as appropriate
